Built to last
The most sustainable piece of furniture is the one you do not replace. We buy for longevity — solid timber over veneer-on-particleboard, repairable joints over glued assemblies.
Natural materials
We favour solid wood, cane, jute, linen, ceramic and stone. Where we use timber, we prioritise responsibly sourced and reclaimed stock.
Local first
Buying from workshops in and around the Valley cuts transport emissions and keeps skills and income here.
Packaging
We are steadily moving to recycled and recyclable packaging, and we take away and reuse delivery packaging on Valley deliveries if you would like us to.
Honest about the gaps
We are not carbon neutral and we are not going to claim we are. This is a work in progress, and we would rather tell you where we are than market our way past it.
