Measure once, buy once.
Before you order
Measure the room, then measure the route: doorways, stair turns and lift dimensions. A sofa that fits the living room but not the stairwell helps nobody.
Living room
- Leave 75–90 cm of walking space around seating
- Coffee table: 40–45 cm from the sofa edge, roughly two-thirds the sofa's length
- Rug: large enough for at least the front legs of every seat
Dining room
- 60 cm of table width per person
- 90–110 cm between table edge and wall so chairs can pull out
- Pendant light: 75–85 cm above the table top
Bedroom
- 60 cm minimum either side of the bed
- Nightstand height within 5 cm of the mattress top
